Cavalier left fielder Brandon Guyer extended his career high hitting streak to 25 games in last night's 12-5 win over Richmond. Guyer went 2-3 with an RBI to pace Virginia.
The senior's hitting streak is the longest current hitting streak in the ACC, and Guyer will look for continued success this weekend at Clemson. During the stretch, he has hit six home runs and knocked in 31 RBI, including 14 multiple hit games. He is also batting .443 during that stretch.
On the year, Guyer is hitting .430, which is good enough to lead the Cavaliers, and ranks third among ACC batters. He also leads the team with the six home runs, and 40 RBI on the season so far.
Guyer and Virginia will be back in action this weekend as they head to Clemson.
