April 22, 2007

The Virginia men's tennis team claimed the ACC Championship Sunday, defeating No. 6 North Carolina, 5-0. The Hoos (26-3) have won 16 consecutive ACC matches, dating back to last year.

Ted Angelinos was named Tournament MVP, picking up three singles wins and losing just six games in the process.

The Cavaliers, ranked number 2 in the country, will await their automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament, which will be announced May 1.
