The Cavaliers looked to be the first ACC team since 2002 to sweep Clemson on their home field. The Cavaliers fell in game three 2-1. Clemson pitcher Ryan Hinson threw a no-hitter until the seventh inning when Patrick Wingfield singled. On the mound for Virginia, Sean Doolittle threw six innings, giving up one run and striking out six. He drops to 6-3 on the year. Virginia returns home for a nine-game home stand beginning on Wednesday with James Madison University.
