Virginia guard Sean Singletary announced Tuesday that he has declared himself eligible for the NBA Draft. The junior, an All-ACC First Team selection in 2006 and 2007, is not planning on hiring an agent.
The move gives Cavalier fans slim hope of his return. If Singletary does not hire an agent, he has the option of taking his name out of the draft list by June 18 and returning to the University of Virginia. The NBA Draft is June 28.
In 2007, Singletary ranked third in the ACC in scoring (19 ppg) and second in three-point field goals made (2.47 a game) and free throw percentage (.872).
