The Louisa Baseball Team used solid defense and some big bats to knock off Charlottesville, 3-1. The Black Knights record now falls to 4-8 on the season.
In private school action, STAB cruised by Woodberry Forest, 5-0. The Saints used a complete game shutout performance by Brett Goodloe on the mound to secure the victory.
In boys lacrosse, Western Albemarle knocked off Covenant, 13-6, in a non district rivalry match up. The Eagles jumped out to a 2-0 lead, but the Warriors took control after that. Max Pfeifer led Western with six points, and took the field just two hours after committing to Notre Dame.
Girls soccer saw Albemarle get a key district win over Massoponax, 4-2. The Patriots went into halftime up 3-2, and added a goal in the second half.
