For the five fourth-year students on the Virginia women's lacrosse team, tomorrow's graduation will be one of the final emotional days of their college careers. But it won't be their last, and they made sure of it Saturday.

The Hoos defeated North Carolina in the NCAA Second Round, 14-8, at Klockner Stadium. Senior Kate Breslin led the way with five goals and two assists, as the 'Hoos advance to the Final Four next weekend in Philadelphia.

Virginia dominated the first half, jumping out to a 5-0 lead, and keeping the Tar Heels off the board for the first 21 minutes. The Cavs led by as many as eight goals, but UNC cut it in half to four with 14 minutes to play. However, Virginia responded with four quick goals and held off the Tar Heels for the victory.

This is the fourth time in five years the Cavs head to the semifinals. They will face Duke Friday evening.
