The Tarheels shutout the Cavaliers in game 3 of the ACC tournament Saturday, 5-0. The last time the Cavaliers were shutout was in game three of last years ACC tournament against Florida State. Pitcher Casey Lambert started his second game of the season. He last seven innings and striking out four batters.
North Carolina advances to Sunday's championship game at 1 p.m. The Cavaliers will now await their regional seedings. Those will be announced Monday at 12:30 p.m.
