The Cavalier women's lacrosse team made a historic comeback Friday night in the semifinals to advance to the championship game. On Sunday, the Cavaliers could not do it again. Virginia got out to an early two goal lead, but Northwestern scored seven straight goals . The Cavaliers lost by a score of 15 to 13.
Northwestern took home the national title for the third straight year.
