Current and Former Players React to Groh's Firing

Current and former Virginia football players spoke out following Al Groh's firing on Sunday.

Current players were saddened to hear the news regarding their former head coach. They had developed close relationships with their head coach, but realized the decision was out of their hands.

Quite a few players have made the jump to the the NFL under Groh's watch including Charlottesville's own Chris Long. The former Cavalier and current Rams defensive end played for Groh from 2004 to 2007 and was disappointed to hear the news about his firing. He thinks Groh took a lot of heat, but said he has a lot of love for him.
