Cavs Fall to Oregon State to Force Game Seven

Oregon State scored four runs in the final two innings, as the Beavers topped Virginia, 5-3, to force a deciding NCAA Regional Game Seven tomorrow afternoon.

The two teams were scoreless until the bottom of the fifth, when the Cavaliers scored three runs, including a two-RBI double by Mike Mitchell and a deep RBI double by Tyler Cannon.

Oregon State, however, scored five unanswered runs to take the game, 5-3. Pat McAnaney pitched five innings, giving up only one earned run in the no decision.

The two teams will meet again tomorrow at noon to decide the regional champion.
