Jason Ogata had four RBI and Virginia was held scoreless in the final seven innings, as Oregon State topped the Cavaliers, 7-3, knocking Virginia out of the NCAA Tournament.

Brian O'Connor started Casey Lambert, who lasted just an inning and a third, giving up five earned runs. Jacob Thompson and Sean Doolittle also made appearances on the hill, as six total pitchers took the mound for the Cavaliers throughout the course of the game.

After the Beavers took the 2-0 lead after the first inning, Virginia responeded with three runs in the top of the second. That would be the only inning in which the Cavaliers would score, as several rallies were stopped by OSU pitching.

The loss ends Virginia's season with a 45-16 record, the fourth straight year that they have at least 40 wins. It also marks the fourth straight year that Virginia has been ousted in the NCAA Regional, three of which have taken place at Davenport Field.

Oregon State advances to host a Super Regional. They will host Michigan next weekend.
