Parsons' Picks: Week 13

December 4, 2009

Any good coach will tell you that you want to be peaking at the right time. Well, over the last two weeks we are a perfect 6-6. Let's see if we can keep it going in week 13.

We'll start with the 1:00 game on CBS19 between the Oakland Raiders and the Pittsburgh Steelers. Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin said it best, the Steelers are in attack mode following their loss to Baltimore on Sunday. That is bad news for the Raiders. Big Ben is back for the Steelers, and I think he'll lead them to a pretty convincing win over the Raiders.

Up next, the 1:00 game on WAHU Fox27 between the New Orleans Saints and the Washington Redskins. With all that's happened in New Orleans over the past few years, how can you not like what the Saints are doing this year? They have the most exciting offense in football, and I think the Skins will have a tough time keeping up this Sunday. I like the Saints to win this one pretty handily.

Finishing up with the 4:15 game on WAHU Fox27, a big NFC East battle with the Dallas Cowboys taking on the New York Giants. Let's face it, Eli Manning and the Giants are banged up. While I wouldn't usually advocate picking against the Giants at home and for a Cowboys team that typically struggles in December, I am going to give Dallas a week pass here. I think the Cowboys get a big division win over one of their division rivals.
