Four Virginia baseball players were selected in the Major League Baseball Draft today. Casey Lambert, Beau Seabury, Mike Mitchell and Pat McAnaney were all drafted on Friday. A school record six Cavaliers were selected overall, including Sean Doolittle and Brandon Guyer, who were picked up on Thursday.
Lambert was selected in the sixth round by the Chicago Cubs. Lambert holds the ACC all-time save record. Seabury was picked in the 13th round by the Colorado Rockies. Mitchell also went to Colorado as a 25th-round selection, and McAnaney was selected by the Pittsburgh Pirates in the 38th round.
