Sean Singletary's decision to remain in the NBA Draft until the last possible minute is allegedly costing him a roster spot on Team USA. The rising senior pulled out of the draft on the final day on June 18th, but Team USA had to submit an official roster prior to that deadline. Since Singletary was still eligible to turn pro, he could not be included on that roster.
Team USA still extended an invitation to Singletary to try out, but could not guarantee that Pan-Am Games officials in Rio de Janeiro would allow him to move onto the official Team USA roster. Singletary declined the invitation.
