Virginia head coach Tony Bennett is working hard trying to find ways for his team to snap a nine game losing streak. Bennett and the Cavaliers are working hard in preparation for this week's ACC Tournament. The head coach took time to sit down with CBS19 for a one-on-one interview on Monday.
Bennett touched on his technical foul against Maryland and the loss to the Terps. The head coach likes the fight he saw in his team in the second half and hopes to carry that into the ACC Tournament this week.
He also talked about his decision to suspend Sylven Landesberg for the rest of the season. Landesberg was suspended for not fulfilling his academic obligations, and Bennett says it was a very difficult decision. He hopes it serves as an example to current and future players and shows what he expects from his players.
The Cavaliers will face Boston College in the first round of the ACC Tournament at noon on Thursday. Bennett says his team learned a lot about the Eagles during last Wednesday's loss in Chestnut Hill.
