Virginia training camp hits day six today, and as the 'Hoos get in gear for the 2007 season, there are few players as thankful to be in a Vrginia uniform as Andrew Pearman. Because of personal issues, the wide receiver had withdrawn from school partway through last season; but this year he was welcomed back to the Cavs with open arms.
Pearman brings some experience to the Virginia offense He played in the first four games of last year and logged seven catches for 34 yards. His seven catches more than any other returning receiver.
Yet while he could add depth to the young wide receiving corps, Virginia Head Coach Al Groh is experimenting by putting the speedy 5-foot-10 third year at running back. Andrew says he's just happy to be back and will help the team in any way he can.
