When Virginia opens the season at Wyoming on September 1st, it will be looking to match its road win total from a year ago of one. The Cavaliers have six games away from Scott Stadium this season, and know that the number of road wins must be higher.
Virginia was 1-5 on opponents' turf last season, with the only win coming at Duke. In their five road losses, the Cavaliers lost by an average of 20.4 points, and they only averaged 13 points per game, including the win at Duke. Virginia was also shutout in its final two games away from home, 33-0 at Florida State, and 17-0 at Virginia Tech.
Virginia has two non-conference games on the road this year in Wyoming and Middle Tennessee State. Its four ACC away games are North Carolina, Maryland, NC State, and Miami.
