The Virginia Football Team improved drastically from their opening week loss at Wyoming, posting a 24-13 win over Duke at Scott Stadium on Saturday. The Cavaliers made improvements in every major statistical category.
Virginia posted 324 yards of total offense, including 133 rushing yards. Cedric Peerman had a career high 137 rushing yards, including a first quarter touchdown that put the Cavaliers ahead, 14-0. Jameel Sewell and Peter Lalich split the quarterback duties, with both completing a touchdown pass.
