Virginia Kicker Chris Gould has been named this week's ACC Specialist of the Week. Gould put together a career day in Virginia's 22-20 win at North Carolina. The senior connected on a career high five field goals, tying the school record with Connor Hughes. His 51 yard connection in the first quarter was a career long, and the fifth longest field goal in Virginia history. Gould scored a 16 of the Cavaliers 22 points.
Meanwhile, Cavaliers Offensive Tackle Eugene Monroe has been honored as the ACC Offensive Lineman of the Week. Monroe bolstered an offensive line that helped the Cavs earn a season high 197 yards rushing. He is the second consecutive Cavalier to earn Offensive Lineman of the Week. Tom Santi took home the honor last week.
Virginia kicks off against Georgia Tech on Saturday at Scott Stadium. Kickoff is set for noon.
