Sylven Landesberg played with the Sacramento Kings' summer league team and now it appears things will not pan out for the former Cavalier in the NBA in the near future. Landesberg has caught on with a professional club, however, as Maccabi Haifa, a team in Israel, has announced that it has signed Landesberg to a contract.

Landesberg decided to forego his final two seasons at Virginia and pursue his professional career. He was not drafted in June's NBA Draft and earned a chance to play for the Kings' summer league team. He played in four of the six games, starting two of them, and averaged 9.5 points per contest.

Now Landesberg will begin play with a team, as several websites have indicated that his deal with Maccabi Haifa is a two year contract. We will continue to bring you more information as it becomes available.
