Albemarle Post 74 Drops First Game at Regional

Albemarle Post 74 lost its first game of the Southeast Regional, falling 8-4 to the team from Asheboro, NC Friday night.

Asheboro racked up 15 hits while Albemarle finished with just three in the winners bracket game. Josh Gibson led Albemarle at the plate, finishing 2-for-4 with 2 RBI. Ty Pittman took the loss, giving up 9 hits in 5.1 innings on the mound.

Albemarle moves on to play the team from Bessemer, AL in an elimination game on Saturday at 4 p.m.
