Albemarle Post 74 Still Alive in Southeast Regional

The Albemarle Post 74 legion baseball team survived an elimination game Saturday at the Southeast Regional, beating Bessemer, AL 5-2.

Post 74 scored four runs in the first inning to jump out to the early lead and held on for the win. Kyle Vidano and Lonnie Dillard both finished 2-for-4 with one RBI.

Austin Batten got the win for Albemarle, throwing 6.2 innings and giving up just one earned run. Jordan Gentry earned the save with 2.1 innings of work.

Albemarle moves on to play another elimination game on Sunday.
