Bennett: Brogdon's Year Off a Learning Experience

The 2013-2014 is still more than four months away, but it's hard to imagine anyone more eager for it to begin than Virginia redshirt sophomore Malcolm Brogdon.

Brogdon hasn't played since February of 2012 because of a foot injury, but now the guard is practicing at full-blast and with no restrictions, according to head coach Tony Bennett.

"He had a great, you know, very good freshman year, and then was not be able to play last year when we could've used him," Bennett says of Brogdon, who spent most of his freshman year as the first player off the bench for the Cavaliers before his injury.

Bennett says it's been great to see Brogdon back out on the practice floor, after he was sidelined last season.

"He's getting to go out there and play and will help us, but I know he's really enjoying the game and I think he's learned a lot by sitting out and studying it more."
