Phil Gosselin is on his way back to the big leagues.
The Atlanta Braves recalled Gosselin from Triple-A Gwinnett late Saturday night and the former Cavalier will head to Chicago to join Atlanta for Sunday's game against the Cubs at Wrigley Field.
It's the second stint in the Majors for Gosselin, who made his debut last August. He was drafted out of UVa by the Braves in the fifth round back in 2010.
Gosselin, who was recently selected to the Triple-A All-Star Game from the International League, has excelled as a second baseman and designated hitter for Gwinnett in 2014. He is batting .345 (120-for-348) with five homers, 27 doubles, 30 RBIs and 56 runs scored.
