Three members of the Virginia men’s soccer team have been named to the 2013 All-ACC Team. Eric Bird and Darius Madison were voted onto the second team by the league’s coaches, while freshman Jordan Allen was tabbed on the third team and the All-ACC Freshman Team. It marks the first All-ACC honor for each player.
Bird leads the Cavaliers with six goals and 15 points this season. Madison owns five goals as well as a pair of assists for 12 points at forward this year. Allen has scored a pair of goals and added a team-high five assists this year, ranking ninth in the conference in assists.
Ranked 10th nationally by Soccer America and 12th by the NSCAA, Virginia (10-4-4) competes in the semifinals of the 2013 ACC Championship at 5:30 p.m. Friday, taking on top-ranked Notre Dame.
