Cavalier Women No Match for No. 3 Duke

Duke couldn't miss and Virginia couldn't make Thursday night as the No. 3 Blue Devils trounced the Hoos, 90-55 at Cameron Indoor. UVa fell to 8-9 overall and 1-3 in the ACC.

Faith Randolph continued her strong play of late, scoring a team-high 13. Lexie Gerson also knocked in 13 for the Cavs, who shot just 31 percent from the floor.

The Blue Devils meanwhile hit a solid 56 percent, with Tricia Liston scoring 21 points.

Duke had five players score in double figures in their first game since Chelsea Gray broke her right kneecap Sunday against Boston College, sidelining the senior guard for the rest of the season. Gray dislocated the same kneecap last season, keeping her out of the ACC and NCAA tournaments.

Jackson started in Gray's usual spot and established herself as a factor early on, scoring the game's first four points and finishing the first half with a 360-degree layup that put the Blue Devils up 47-23.

Virginia will look to rebound Sunday when it hosts Florida State.
