The Virginia women's basketball team has added one of the best point guard prospects in the country to its 2014 recruiting class.
Mikayla Venson has committed to the Cavaliers, according to her AAU team's Twitter feed on Monday. Venson is heading into her senior year at Yorktown High School in Arlington, but according to FullCourt.com, she hasn't played for the Patriots since her sophomore year because of concussion-like symptoms.
She returned to the court with Team Takeover at this past April's Boo Williams Invitational.
FullCourt.com is among the recruiting sites that rank Venson among the top 25 recruits in the class of 2014. FullCourt.com ranks the 5-7 point guard No. 16 in the country, while ESPN puts her at No. 23 and ProspectsNation.com ranks her No. 24.
