Led by 26 points from sophomore Faith Randolph, the Virginia women's basketball team blew out No. 17 Florida State 85-68 on Sunday.
Playing in their third straight game against a ranked opponent, the Cavaliers turned in their second-highest scoring performance of the season. Randolph, who set a new career high in points, scored 20 in the first half as UVa built a 47-31 lead over the Seminoles.
Ataira Franklin finished with 18 points and 10 rebounds for the Cavaliers while Sarah Imovbioh added 15 points and five rebounds.
The 'Hoos improve to 9-9 overall and 2-3 in the ACC with the win. Florida State has now lost three in a row, falling to 14-4 overall and 2-3 in the conference.
Next up, the 'Hoos face their fourth-straight ranked opponent when they host No. 6 Maryland no Jan. 23 at John Paul Jones Arena.
