The Virginia men's basketball team fell on the road at 2nd-ranked Miami Tuesday night, 54-50.
Freshman Evan Nolte hit a 3-pointer with 14 seconds to play to tie the game at 50. Then with :06 left, Miami's Reggie Johnson made a layup, and Durand Scott stole the ensuing inbounds pass to seal the win for the Hurricanes.
Joe Harris was the only Cavalier in double figures, finishing with 16 points on 7-for-16 shooting. Paul Jesperson added 8 and Justin Anderson had 7 for UVa.
With the win, Miami stays unbeaten in the ACC at 13-0. Virginia falls to 18-8 overall and 8-5 in conference. Next up, the Cavaliers host Georgia Tech Sunday at JPJ.
