The Virginia women's basketball team's struggles in Chapel Hill continued on Thursday night.
No. 11 North Carolina extended its winning streak to 11 straight games -- and improved to 6-0 in the ACC -- by beating the Cavaliers 71-60. Virginia has now lost seven in a row in Chapel Hill, and 15 of 16 overall against the Tar Heels.
The Tar Heels scored 32 points off 24 Virginia turnovers, including 14 steals. Xylina McDaniel led North Carolina with 15 points and nine rebounds.
Telia McCall and Kelsey Wolfe finished with 13 points apiece for Virginia, which fell to 11-6 overall, and 3-3 in the ACC.
