Cavaliers Top North Texas for Third Straight Win

Freshmen Justin Anderson, Teven Jones, and Evan Nolte all set career highs in scoring as Virginia topped North Texas 80-64 Tuesday night.

Virginia had five players score in double figures. Joe Harris had 12 points for the Cavaliers and Darion Atkins added 10.

Virginia shot 59 percent from the field, including 73 percent from 3-point range, and held North Texas to 36 percent.

After trailing by 20 at the half, North Texas cut the lead to nine on a 3-point play by Jordan Williams, but Virginia responded with a 10-2 run to pull away.

After playing six games in 12 days, the Cavaliers don't play again until November 28, when they travel to Wisconsin as part of the ACC/Big Ten/Challenge.
