Cavs' Coley Recognized by ACC

The ACC's honor roll of top performers for the first weekend of the college football season includes Virginia linebacker Henry Coley.

Coley, a senior captain for the Cavaliers this season, was named the ACC's linebacker of the week for his performance in UVa's 28-20 loss to No. 7 UCLA last Saturday. Coley led UVa with 14 tackles -- including a pair of sacks and 2 1/2 tackles for loss -- and also forced a fumble and broke up a pass, as the Wahoos held Heisman contender Brett Hundley and the Bruins to just one offensive touchdown.

The 14 tackles and 2 1/2 tackles for loss matched Coley's career high, set last season against Ball State. The two sacks were a new career high for Coley, who was making his 13th straight start on the UVa defense.

It's the first weekly ACC award of Coley's UVa career.
