Cavs Down Virginia Tech for Third Straight Win

The Virginia men's basketball team topped Virginia Tech 65-45 on Saturday at John Paul Jones Arena, improving to 6-1 in the ACC for the first time in more than three decades.

Malcolm Brogdon scored a career-high 18 points and made a career-high 4 three-pointers. Joe Harris added 12 points for the Cavaliers, who closed out a three game homestand with their third straight win.

UVa has now won the last four games in a row against the Hokies, and the 'Hoos have won 13 straight conference home games.

With the win, UVa improves to 15-5 overall and 6-1 in the ACC, their best start to conference play since the 1982-1983 season.

The Cavaliers start a two game road swing on Tuesday when they face Notre Dame. The Irish are 11-9 overall and 2-5 in the ACC.
