Cavs Make Short Work of Cal in Round of 16

The Virginia men's tennis team took the next step on its mission to National Championship No. 1.

The Cavaliers quickly dispatched California in the Round of 16, 4-0, Thursday afternoon.

Virginia won the doubles point, then took three straight singles victories to clinch the win.

Julen Uriguen made quick work at No, 6 singles, winning 6-0, 6-1 to make it 2-0. Alex Domijan at No. 2 then won 6-2, 6-4 and freshman Mac Styslinger finished it off with a 6-4, 6-1 win at No. 4.

Virginia will now face Tennessee in the quarterfinal round on Saturday at 1 p.m.
