Cavs Stomp Hokies for Fifth Straight Win

Virginia defeated in-state rival Virginia Tech, 6-1, in ACC women’s tennis action Saturday afternoon at Snyder Tennis Center. The Cavaliers lost the doubles point, but won six straight singles matches to improve to 8-6 overall and 3-0 in the ACC.

Virginia extended its winning streak to five matches, sweeping ACC foes Boston College and Virginia Tech by identical 6-1 scores this weekend.

The Cavaliers lost the doubles point, but gained singles victories from Li Xi, Hana Tomljanovic, Erin Vierra, Julia Elbaba, Stephanie Nauta and Caryssa Peretz.

Virginia continues ACC action at No. 7 Duke and No. 1 North Carolina on Friday-Saturday, March 29-30.
