For the second game in a row, freshman Justin Anderson set a new career high in scoring, with 24 points against the Hawkeyes. Anderson also recorded 5 blocks and 6 rebounds, and fellow freshman Mike Tobey added 15 points and 6 rebounds. Junior Joe Harris had another tough shooting day, scoring 11 points on 4-of-11 shooting from the floor.
The loss ends the Cavaliers' season, while the Hawkeyes move on to face Maryland in the NIT semifinals at Madison Square Garden.
