Crockett Signs With Indians

Virginia closer Kyle Crockett is officially a member of the Cleveland Indians organization. Crockett, who just finished his junior season with the Cavaliers, signed for $463,600, according to Jim Callis of Baseball America.

Crockett's dad, Gary, tweeted Saturday: "It's official!!! Congrats son. So proud of you."

The UVa closer was selected by the Indians in the fourth round of the 2013 Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft, at No. 111 overall.

Crockett went 4-1 with a 1.70 ERA and 12 saves as a junior, and was named First-Team All-ACC as well as a Third-Team All-American by the NCBWA.
