Devvarman Into Second Round at U.S. Open

Former Virginia tennis star Somdev Devvarman is into the second round of the U.S. Open after outlasting Lukas Lacko of Slovakia in five sets, 4-6, 6-1, 6-2, 4-6, 6-4.

Devvarman won 27 of 29 points at the net and had just 26 unforced errors in the match, which took over 3 hours to complete.
