Doolittle Pitches in AL's All-Star Game Win

Former Virginia pitcher Sean Doolittle appeared in the eighth inning of the American League's 5-3 win over the National League in the 2014 MLB All-Star game.

Doolittle went 0.2 innings, giving up one hit and striking out two batters. It was the first appearance in an All-Star game for the former Cavaliers and current A's closer.

AL outfielder Mike Trout won MVP honors, finishing 2-for-3 with three RBI. Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter went 2-for-2 with a run scored in his final All-Star Game.
