For the eighth year in a row, the eGolf Tour is returning to the Charlottesville area for the Spring Creek Classic. The tournament tees off Wednesday at the Spring Creek Golf Club and runs through Friday.
For members on the eGolf Tour, the event is one they look forward to throughout the season.
"You don't get too many golf courses like this one," said tour member Adam Webb. "It's phenomenal, probably the best one we play all year. And the staff, they're even better than the golf course, so I just love coming up here."
"The golf course conditioning-wise is just beautiful," added tournament director Ben Case. "They do such a good job manicuring it, and it's very rare that you see a staff take as much care in their attention to detail as they have. For us it's really easy coming here, because we know the course is going to look amazing."
The Spring Creek Classic is the 14th out of 15 regular season events on the eGolf Tour’s schedule this season. Local players in this year's tournament include Will Collins (UVA), Weston Eklund (Charlottesville), Mikey Moyers (Standardsville), Daniel Walker (Earlysville), Amory Davis (UVA) and Mac McLaughlin (UVA).
