Former Virginia cornerback Ras-I Dowling is hoping to stick at his second NFL stop.
The New York Jets announced Monday that they have signed Dowling to a reserve/future contract. Dowling spent the second half of the 2013 season on the Jets' practice squad, after signing with New York on October 13.
The New England Patriots selected Dowling out of UVa in Round 2 of the 2011 NFL Draft. But he only appeared in nine games for the Patriots because of various injuries, before being cut by the team in August.
