After stellar careers at the collegiate level, Meghan Lenczyk and Sinead Farrelly will look for more success at the pro level as they each were selected in the Women's Professional Soccer draft on Friday in Baltimore, MD.
Farrelly was selected as the second overall pick to the Philadelphia Independence, while Lenczyk was selected in the 3rd round by the Atlanta Beat.
With the Cavaliers this past season, Farrelly led the team in scoring with 12 goals and seven assists. In addition to her 4th selection to the first team All-ACC squad, Farrelly was also the ACC Offensive Player of the Year for 2010.
Lenczyk was second on the team in scoring for the Cavaliers in 2010. She finished the season with 12 goals to go along with six assists. Lenczyk was named to the second team All-ACC squad and finished third all-time on the Cavalier career goals list with 36.
