Former Cavs Added to NFL Practice Squads

One day after NFL teams cut their 2014 rosters down to 53 players, a number of former Virginia Cavaliers were added to practice squad.

Cornerback Chase Minnifield, who was one of nine players cut by the Redskins on Saturday, was added to the practice squad. Minnifield spent the summer in training camp with the team vying for a spot on the active roster. The former 'Hoo also spent time on the Redskins' practice squad in 2013 before being added to the active roster in November.

Another Former UVa player, defensive tackle Matt Conrath, was added to the St. Louis Rams practice squad. Conrath played in eight games for the Rams in 2013, finishing with seven total tackles and one sack.
