Former 'Hoo Gerson Signs Professional Contract

Former Virginia basketball player Lexie Gerson has signed a professional contract to play for Elitzur Ramla in Ramla, Israel.

Gerson also posted the news to her Instagram account on Tuesday, saying in part, "From signing my letter of intent to come to the University of Virginia to signing my first professional basketball contract!!! So thankful to have the opportunity to continue doing what I love most!!!"

In four seasons at UVa, Gerson played in 127 games with 82 starts. She played 24.6 career minutes a game, averaging 7.1 points per game. Gerson was named to the All-ACC Defensive Team twice, and averaged 2.7 steals a game in her senior season in 2013-2014.
