Former UVa TE McGee to Transfer to Florida

Former Virginia tight end Jake McGee will transfer to the University of Florida, according to the school's official website.

McGee just finished his undergraduate degree at UVa and has one year of eligibility left. According to the announcement, he will start classes Monday at Florida.

In 2013, McGee led the Cavaliers with 43 receptions for 395 yards. In the past two seasons total, he caught 71 passes for 769 yards and seven touchdowns.

The former Cavalier confirmed his decision to transfer from UVa two weeks ago, saying "I am very thankful for my time at UVa and I will always consider myself a Wahoo. I have tremendous respect for Coach London and this football team, but I have decided to pursue my future career elsewhere."
