Friday's Monmouth/UVa Game Postponed

The cold weather in Charlottesville has forced No. 1 Virginia to postpone Friday's series opener against Monmouth in baseball.

The game, originally set to start at 3 p.m. Friday, will now be part of a double-header on Sunday afternoon at Davenport Field. Sunday's first game will begin at noon.

The series will now open with Saturday's scheduled 1 p.m. game. Sophomore Nathan Kirby, who was scheduled to start for UVa on Friday, will take the hill for the Cavaliers.

Josh Sborz and Brandon Waddell will start Sunday's games for UVa. Sborz was originally scheduled to pitch on Saturday.
