Heath Miller Inducted Into Legends' Walk

Former Virginia Cavalier and current Pittsburgh Steelers tight end Heath Miller was honored at halftime of Virginia's game against Maryland on Saturday.

Miller rewrote the UVa and ACC record books during a three-year career with the Hoos. He recorded 144 receptions for 1,703 yards and 20 touchdowns, all records for a tight end. He capped his UVa career in 2004 by winning the John Mackey Award as the nation's top tight end, becoming Virginia's first major award winner since 1941. He became the second unanimous All-American in school history.

Former Cavaliers Matt Schaub and D'Brickashaw Ferguson were honored earlier in the season. With the addition of Miller, there are now 22 retired jersey honorees. A total of six Virginia football players have had their number retired.
