Virginia's recruiting reach now extends across the country, with the Cavaliers dipping into California for their latest commit.
Upland, California athlete Jeffery Farrar became the tenth player to commit to UVa's recruiting class of 2014, announcing his decision during an ESPN.com web stream on Wednesday.
Farrar said he chose UVa "because it was different."
"It's away from home. It felt real family-oriented out there," Farrar explained. "And I love Coach London. He's a great guy, and I would love playing football for him at the next level."
ESPN rates Farrar as a four-star athlete, while 247Sports and Rivals both grade him as a three-star wide receiver. He said Wednesday that he didn't know if his future would be at receiver or defensive back.
He picked the Cavaliers over California and Arizona State.
