Expectations just got a little bigger for the Virginia baseball team entering the 2014 season -- if that was possible.
A pair of baseball websites -- released its preseason Top 25 poll for the 2014 seasonBaseball America and Perfect Game -- released their preseason college polls on Monday morning, with the Cavaliers ranked No. 1 in both.
Baseball America national college baseball writer Aaron Fitt wrote that the Cavaliers "are extraordinarily deep, balanced, and talented," while Perfect Game college baseball managing editor Kendall Rogers said UVa will "enter the spring with a strong mix of production and experience."
UVa is the first of six ACC programs to appear in both preseason polls, followed by NC State (5th in Baseball America and 10th in Perfect Game); Florida State (6th and 4th); Clemson (13th and 14th); Miami (16th and 20th); and North Carolina (17th and 13th).
