The Virginia baseball team is doing its best to ensure this weekend's big series at home against NC State gets played as planned.
The school announced Thursday night that the schedule for the weekend had been adjusted to try to avoid the inclement weather predicted for the area. The two teams will now play a double-header beginning at 1 p.m. Saturday, with no game on Sunday.
Monday's nationally televised game is still scheduled for 7 p.m.
Virginia enters Saturday's opener at 19-2 on the season, with a 4-2 record in the conference. The Cavaliers have taken two-of-three in each of their first two ACC series this spring.
The Wolfpack -- the league favorite this year, according to the preseason coaches' poll -- is 3-3 in the ACC this season.
